Patricia Krachun

August 11, 1941 - September 9, 2020
Patricia Santora Krachun, 79, of Tarpon Springs, FL, previously of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on September 9, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Vozar Santora, and her brother, Louis Santora, Jr.  Patricia leaves behind her devoted husband of 58 years, Richard J. Krachun, her daughters Suzanne Green (Mike) and Melanie Szilagyi (Peter), and her three grandchildren whom she adored, Stephen Szilagyi, Catherine Green and Alex Green. She always loved a great wedding and especially enjoyed celebrating the marriage of Stephen and his bride, Kelly, amongst family and friends.
Born in Raritan, NJ, Patricia graduated from Somerville High School and obtained her beautician’s license and, ultimately, established her own business, her clientele consisting of devoted regulars, many of them like family. Patricia continued her entrepreneurial efforts and pursued her love of gourmet cooking by starting her own catering business. She continued to pursue her education first in haircare and then later in business and computers. After raising her daughters, she discovered her aptitude for IT administration, successfully developing a new corporate career working at AT&T and Kvaerner Engineering.
Patricia was happiest when entertaining, whether hosting a dinner for her gourmet club, serving her special family Sunday Brunch or whipping up the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich for her grandchildren.
Patricia was fond of her pets and always had a furry companion by her side, most recently, her beloved Lilly.
She and Rich loved to travel. Their destinations were usually some place warm with great food including regular trips to Florida, the Caribbean, Cancun, Spain and, her favorite, Italy. They retired to Florida where she spent more time painting, gardening, winning at Mahjong at the club house and playing dominoes with her family and friends when they came to visit.
She will be missed by her dear friends and family.
A memorial service will be scheduled next spring in NJ.

She was the model of woman hood, and a wonderful lady. Always admired how she kept herself, make up, hair and dress. She was fun to get together with as her conversations were fun, bright and so enjoyable. She was a very smart woman and full of energy. She and Rich were a great couple and fun to socialize with. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Although I didn’t know her well, she had a beautiful light from within. When she smiled, you smiled with her. She was a lady of grace and seeing her with her baby Lily or with Rich on her arm…you felt the love of time and contentment.

Friends come into our lives and friends leave our lives. But friends never leave our hearts. Pat was a beautiful person in and out and now she is in the arms of Jesus.
